I just bought a Wii console that should have some accessories?

I just bought a Wii for my husband and I to help us off the couch. System is only the basis for what are some of the accessories that are needed or desired for some of the games and the system goes to the right of the box. I play pretty Video illiterate so any help is appreciated.
