What are the odds in the Joshua Clottey Vs. Manny Pacquaio bout?

Their big fight is coming soon. .. … …. ….. .

Q’s ~~
• What are their W – L records coming into the fight?

• Recent Yahoo Sports – Boxing photos show a Clottey about a couple inches taller
than Pacquaio = is this a big advantage?

• What about their physique stats, such as reach, southpaw, etc?

Should be a good fight, and recent media coverage seems to point to Joshua Clottey being underestimated? An obvious given: Jerry’s house will obviously seat more fans than Vegas’ MGM Grand!

FYI: This question is coming from a Pacquiao fan, and I’d hate to see Manny and Co. underestimate Joshua and have Team Pacquaio lose in the opening rounds!

According to a Las Vegas sporting odds website, Pacquiao is listed as a -525 favorite while Clottey is listed as a +350 underdog, which means that you would have to bet $525 on Pacquiao to win $100 while if you bet $100 on Clottey, you would win $350.

~ Manny Pacquiao’s record going into this fight is 50-3-2, 38 KOs while Joshua Clottey’s record going into this fight is 35-3, 20 KOs)

~ The height disadvantage for Pacquiao is not really that significant because Clottey does not usually use his height to his advantage, and Oscar De La Hoya, whom Pacquiao stopped in 8 very one-sided rounds had about a 4 inch height advantage over Pacquiao.

~ Manny Pacquiao has a reach of 67 inches, which is his wingspan; he is a southpaw; his height is listed as 5 feet, 6 and a half inches. Joshua Clottey has a reach of 70 inches, which is his wingspan; he is an orthodox fighter; his height is listed as 5 feet, 8 inches.

~ I agree that it should be a good fight but I don’t really think that people are underestimating Clottey because he is deservedly a very big underdog. Most people (myself included) feel that Pacquiao will win a lopsided unanimous decision but will not stop Clottey because the latter is tough, has very good defense and an iron chin but he simply does not move his hands enough while Pacquiao is like a whirlwind when it comes to combination punching. And you are correct in that the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas will be seating many more people than the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada where most fights of this magnitude are held. The Pacquiao-Clottey fight is supposed to have an attendance of around 45,000 people while the MGM Grand holds a maximum of something like 18,000.
