Do I have to take the driving part to get my license?

I started taking Driver Ed in a box when he was 17 years old. However, I have 18 years now. After I had my permit for 6 months, my dad still sign forms saying that I know how to drive? Or I have to take the driving portion yet? I know usually Driver Ed in a box that let parents waive the driving license examination, I do not know if it matters that I now legal. I live in Texas, of course.

If you can waive the driving test, if you are taking driver's Ed in a box, and his parents have made arrangements for his master. You can still do this despite having 18 years, as have their permission when they were 17.
