Need some help with loosing weight?
ok guys i need help loosing weight i am kinda confused with the whole diet thing. I have tried the atkins diet last year while taking hydroxycut hardcore at same time i lost 60lb in about 4-5 month period. Now i have gained 40 of it back and need help getting it back down again without gaining weight back quick. I am 19 years old male 6′1 and 240 pounds. I go boxing everyday now i got a tredmill ima start running a mile in morning and go lift weight at the gym. I can diet pretty good self control of food but i just dont know what are good foods to eat is there a list somewhere how to split meals up how much carbs,protien and such eat. how much should i eat and how to get my spare tire off ![]()
Is there a certain amount of carbs,fat and protien i should have during this dieting? and calories?
There is no easy way to lose weight, everything takes time. The healthy think is to lose around 1-2 pounds a week. The best thing you can do is drink water and lots of it. Water actually helps you burn calories. You’re already on the right track with boxing and doing the treadmill. I found the easiest thing for me is the gym 3 times a week for 2 hours. I do weights and strength training at the gym and do cardio like running the other days. I’ve lost 15 pounds in the past two months and I feel great.
Fad diets tend not to work and you will put the weight back on just as quickly as you lost it like you’ve noticed. I have 3 meals a day and two snacks. For breakfast I have a fruit of some sort, an egg white omelette, a piece of toast with sugar free jelly and since I’m lactose intolerant, a glass of soymilk. For lunch I generally have a salad with low fat dressing, boiled eggs (no yolk) an either a small piece of fish or chicken. For a snack I either have some cheese, nuts,or popcorn. Dinner I have 2 sides of vegetables, my favorite is beets and green beens *fresh if possible* along with a small side of meat 3-4oz. My last snack is before 8pm and its usually a yogurt. I drink a lot of water throughout the day, close to a gallon I’d say.
