Do you think this was right?
Okay, so my mom bought me this necklace for Christmas last year- a really special one that I wear every day. But I was at school on Tuesday and I left it with someone to look after in PE and I forgot to get it back- the person (my friend) left it on the bench in the gym. I’ve looked everywhere but can’t find it.
So today I went on the web and ordered another one (I don’t think it’s the exact, exact same one- but they look very very similar (silver box chain around the same thickness). I don’t think she’ll notice the difference and I’m not going to tell her, she’d be really unhappy.
Do you think what I did is morally right? I’m feeling quite guilty now but there’s absolutely no way I’m telling her I’ve lost it.

I don’t think it’s a problem at all. It sounds like you are very thoughtful of your mom’s feelings. I don’t think she’d be as upset as YOU think she’d be, but it’s one of those things you can tell her in 20 years and you’ll both crack up.
