so i just wanted to know whats wrong with mma fighters?

well ya see, i never really understood mma so i googled images and i found this picture

Trying googling pictures of football player injuries.. ever see the video of what L.T. did to Joe Theisman?

Trying googling gymnastic player injuries… you are talking 12 to 16 year old girls tumbling on broken legs… toughing it out for competetion.

Ever watch CSI, or virtually any drama show? You are going to see human drama.

MMA fighters are competetors, who are emotionally invested in winning. The guy in the pic is Joe Stevenson, he was fighting for a belt and lost. He got cut on the scalp, which coincidently bleeds like crazy due to the massive amounts of capillaries there.

You ever watched a sport and seen a player play hurt… out there with a cast on his hand or limping his way off the field or court. In your mind do you find that sad or courageous?

Ever read Congressional Medal of Honor write ups? See what some of those guys who won did… talking guys riddled with bullet holes that still stormed a machine gun nest and took out guys to win an objective. Hell how many War movies have you watched where the same kind of passion, human drama and the spirit to win is profiled all throughout the movie.

We as humans like to see triumph, we feel for those who taste defeat. But someone has to lose.

I’d much rather see a guy that emotionally invested in something he loves, then to see a guy who just doesn’t care.

I see a 19 year old Kerri Strug performing a final vault despite massive damage in her ankle, and I am captivated by the toughness and passion that she had to pull that off.

It really takes someone who can understand passion, committment, and appreciates competetion I guess to see all that. But the human drama factor draws nearly everyone.
