What is the best age to start that Christmas Elf Tradition?

My sister does it with their children, however, she did not learn until their children were about nine. I see they sell a kit for Christmas Elf starting at Barnes and Noble, and I'm not sure if I should let my daughter see her box and open it, or do in private. She is three. Any advice?

I do not have children yet. But I have a great idea for the introduction of the Elves of each year. Send to yourself in the mail every year and say to children is a gift to the holy principles. Outside the package comes to your elf you get every year. Give a name for children know that the elves to wait in the mail that Santa has been assigned specifically to your home. It may end up looking forward to see more santa elf:) At the end of the season, hide and tell the children returned to the North Pole until next year. sure to find a good hiding. This could be a good idea, because even if your daughter doesn't remember at age 3, to be introduced anew each year with the package in the mail. I think it's a good start to the season, begins with a package. I I can not wait to have children:)
