Who would win if both were at their prime, James ‘Lights Out’ Toney or ‘Marvelous’ Marvin Hagler
James Toney:
Well skilled boxer, can box inside & outside, can box from weight classes middleweight (160) to Heavyweight, pretty decent movement & hand speed, decent Ko power, and a cast iron chin.
‘Marvelous’ Marvin Hagler:
Decent boxer, a hard hitter, very strong, a good inside fighter, fought at middleweight (160), and very determine.
Anyways, I hate to say it but I give the edge to James Toney. He’s bigger, more skilled, and a better boxer. I know Hagler have a hard punch but Toney could take those EASILY. I seen Toney get hit flush by powerful heavyweight Samuel Peters and he took it well.
Toney wins in a 12 Rd decision.
BTW, Toney never been KO’d either.
Anyways, who do you guys got?
Marvin Hagler is an all time great middlewweight champion and fought like an old school fighter, totally businesslike in his approach fearless, determined, very skilled and tough as nails. Both men have strong chins and a good punch but Hagler is a much more complete fighter than Toney and he would outwork him. We are talking about a fight at 160 lbs and not heavyweight aren’t we? Hagler would beat Toney 8 out of the 12 rounds and win by unanimous decision.
