When will we have a unified heavyweight boxing champion?
By unified, I mean having the belts of at least three of the following orgainizations (current champions listed):
World Boxing Council (WBC) – Hasim Rahman
World Boxing Organization (WBO) – Lamon Brewster
World Boxing Association (WBA) – Nikolai Valuev
International Boxing Federation (IBF) – Chris Byrd
Ring Magazine – vacant
How long do you think it’ll be before boxing gets a unified heavyweight champion again? Any ideas on who it’ll be? Please include your reasoning for the answers you provide.
Honestly…I think that it will not happen until a young up-and-comer named Daniel Marchica gets a few more wins. He is going to be the next big thing, and the person to bring back boxing’s popularity.
