Greatest Boxing Fights Ever
Jun/060

Serious sports fans-Why isn't Marvelous Marvin Hagler considered the greatest ever?
. Dominated the middleweight division for over 13 years. . He fought and beat all the stakeholders in a division that is without doubt one of the greatest of all time (Duran, Hearns, Mugabi, Antuofermo) I have a raw deal against Ray Leonard. . Stylistically the best – the strong chin, never knocked down, aggressive style, always comes 4ward, lefty or traditional. He would destroy any of these guys now – Mayweather, Hopkins, De La Hoya, Jermain Taylor. Never had a per period of his career as Ali, Leonard, Hearns, etc.
It is considered the greatest ever because of a man named Sugar Ry Robinson, whom I think is a larger average weight of all time. That and the fact that he never got the credit he deserved until he retired from boxing. However, Hagler would still be one of the top 3 middleweights ever. This is where it could qualify: 1. Sugar Ray Robinson 2. Marvelous Marvin Hagler 3. Carlos Monzon also … anyone who believes the media hype of certain magazines (Especially RING), Bernard Hopkins is not the greatest middleweight of all time. He could have made the middleweight title defenses at a time, but was also dominated by Roy Jones Jr in the Middle, and James Toney apparently bent. Anyone who disagrees with this, I challenge you to compare the quality of opposition as middleweight champion for Robinson, Hagler and Monsoon. In fact, when someone once asked renowned promoter Russell Peltz Philly if Hopkins would have beaten Hagler, Peltz reportedly laughed at the guy who asked the question, and said something along the lines of: "Hopkins? Beat Hagler? Hopkins would not have even hit Briscoe" rap group Public Enemy has a song titled: ".. Do not believe what they say "When it comes to running Hopkins middleweight champion, you will do well to heed the advice of the title of that Public Enemy rap. Because I am not fooled by the hype surrounding Hopkins for a second.

Muhammad Ali – The Greatest Collection $19.98 Before Muhammad Ali, plenty of African American heavyweights boxed, but few did for the game (or for blacks) what Ali did. Ali was bold, outrageous, and controversial. The thing about Ali, tho… |
