how do i get grants or donations if im not a non profit org.?

i have a local youth boxing program.kids come here for free.we are in need of equipment,license and travel expenses.ive been involved at my cost for over 23yrs and now struggling to keep it open.i have foundations that would help but cant because im not non profit.i do have a club license through USA BOXING which is non profit.

Maybe u should start charging. Im sure the boxers and parents would understand the situation and charge a cheap price.
