What is the best way to lose weight and get fit, martial arts or boxing?

Here's the thing, I'm 80 pounds of body weight someone 5'10 average. I am a woman interested in both martial arts and boxing. I do not know what would be best for slimming and toning. In addition, I think both would be a good way to learn the defense while working out at the same time. So, all one could be better? Oh, yes, I do not mind the fact I was going to gain muscle weight. If you can think of anything else let me know. My diet has been working so far, but I want to do more.

I will definitely to lose weight in a good boxing gym. It is possible to lose weight in the martial arts, but depends on the school and style. For example, do not expect to lose much weight at a school Tai Chi. I agree that Muay Thai kick boxing or other would be the best of both worlds. You get a full body work, and cardio boxing.
