Boxing Wrist Wraps

Hurt wrist during boxing. . any ideas?
I am new to boxing , but thought I was keeping it light. It seems while punching the bag, quickly, it seems the tendon going vertically in my wrist now tingles a bit any time I move my wrist. I’m thinking it will get better if left alone. I’m thinking I should ice it. I don’t know if I should wrap it, but it probably occurred from punching too hard directly at the bag.
Has something similar occurred, any ideas what my issue is? I tried to massage it, but still tingles or is ever slightly painful.
I have terrible wrists from MMA/Boxing, use Zinc-oxide tape, its cheap and it really really works trust me. Use it to wrap your wrists under your hand wraps while training and if your wrists are really sore when you are not training then use it then too. Even overnight if they are bad and take it off in the morning. The army swear by the stuff and use it for shin splints etc. Hope this helps!
