A question about weight divisions?

As for the boxing competition, what kind of weight you will most likely compete in? I'm 5 '8 .5 "I have a 69.5" scope, and currently weigh about 150 pounds., More or less a pound or two, depending on the week. I'm probably between 8% and 10% body fat, so my weight, obviously, would change if I were in professional real fighting shape. I am sure that if I were in the form such that would have a little more weight in muscle and a little less fat. Therefore, my question is, will I be able to complete the weight cut to about 140 for fighting, or what? Just do not understand how all that works.

150 pounds is a junior middleweight (over 147 and even 154). 140 pounds is a junior welterweight (over 135 and up to 140). Most of the fighters "walk" the weight is greater than its real "fighting" weight of something like 20 pounds, which is why when you see their weight in fight night (the day after the weigh-in) earn about 10 pounds overnight. Some wrestlers make weight drain, which is usually not a good idea but most of the fighters need to at least lighten the load during training before they weigh in the day before the fight.
