help! i need a complete boxing circuit for a 15 year old?
i’m fifteen and need a boxing circuit including all the essential boxing stretches and exercises listed in order to be done and that will cover everything, and i mean everything that a pro would do: to be a champion i need to train like one, please list the number of reps, and rounds and the name of the activity. please make it a complete routine that could be done daily.
oh i don’t have focus mitts, a speed bag, or double end bag.
The following is about the average training a boxer is involved in:
- Shadowboxing
- Heavybag
- Speedbag
- Running/jogging
- Jump rope
- Sit-ups
- Push-ups
At the bare minimum, you should be doing that. When you do that for 5 days a week for a couple months, move it on up.
It’s mainly shadowboxing, heavy bag, and natural exercises like sit-ups and push-ups that matter. But cardio and eating right also matter just as much. You should get good nutrition out of the food you eat (fiber and protein are very important).
Just in case you’re interested, below is my personal workout routine for my “off time” and “pre-fight” times that I’m going to be starting during the summer.
OFF TIME (Mon-Fri):
6 AM:
Stretch
Jog 3 miles
Nap (8:00 AM-11:30 AM)
Gym:
Stretch
Shadowboxing – 6 rounds.
Heavy bag – 6 rounds.
Slip bag – 10 minutes.
Jump rope – 10 minutes.
30 minute break
Stretch
Calisthenics (5x circuit):
250 Situps (50)
100 Pushups (20)
50 Pullups (10)
Neck exercises – 10 minutes.
10 PM:
Bedtime
PRE FIGHT (3 months pending fight, Mon-Fri):
6 AM:
Stretch.
Run 5 miles.
Nap (9:00 AM-11:30 AM)
Stretch.
Shadowboxing – 10 rounds.
Heavy bag – 10 rounds.
Mitt work – 10 rounds.
Speed bag – 10 minutes.
Slip bag – 10 minutes.
30 minute break.
Stretch.
Calisthenics (5x circuit):
250 Situps (50)
100 Pushups (20)
50 Pullups (10)
Jump rope – 10 minutes
5 PM:
Neck exercises – 10 minutes.
Medicine ball to stomach – 10 minutes.
Exercise bike – 30 minutes.
10 PM:
Bed time.
