Number calling system in fight?
so ive been training for about two weeks now and im going to have my first amature fight in 2 months
when we use training mitts we have a number system thing like 22 is left hook and so forth..
My trainer said he will tell me what to do using the number system in the fight..
This got me thinking i dont want this to be like a video game where the coach is controlling me…
is it going to be like that? i always imagined boxing just you fought and you used your head not listened what to do!
Your trainer can see what u can’t see.After all he’s watching you fight.You can fight on your own and try different things in the fight.But when he says the numbers you don’t have to automatically do it but u must do in a while.After all your opponent can hear too.Once you hear your 22′s you can throw a combination then u do your 22command.He won’t keep yelling numbers to control you like a video game but he can see what your opponent is open for and you need to listen that is something important in boxing.It won’t be like a game he yells numbers after numbers he will let you fight but from time to time he will help.Listen to his commands,follow directions and pay attention in the corner.Don’t worry it won’t be like that man just fight and listen to him and you will win.
