Can I record sky television with a dvd recorder?

I will be away on business next week and I am going to miss the Hatton vs Pacquio fight on sky box office. If i buy a dvd recorder is it possible to record the fight to a dvd so i can watch it as soon as i get home?

You need to connect the DVD recorder to the Sky box with a scart lead. However, when I tried to record from Box Office, it didn’t work, so I would imagine there is something to stop you doing it. This was a film, but I don’t know about a sports event. You would have to ask Sky if it would work.

Decades ago, documentary filmmaker Leon Gast attempted to complete a feature about the 1974 “Rumble in the Jungle” championship bout between boxers Muhammad Ali and George Foreman in Kinshasa, Zaire. Sundry complications, though, held up the project until its release in 1996. It was well worth the delay. From Gast’s perspective of modern history, the six weeks Ali and Foreman were forced to spend …

While Leon Gast captured the “Rumble in the Jungle” in his Oscar-winning documentary When We Were Kings, his editor, Jeffrey Levy-Hinte, using Gast’s original footage, preserves the music portion of the event in Soul Power. In 1974 Stewart Levine and Hugh Masekela organized a three-day festival to celebrate African and African-American music in conjunction with the heavyweight bout. Just as Gast p…

The Fighter

The Fighter

It would be a mistake to confuse The Fighter with the story of Mark Wahlberg, though the similarities are striking. Completely convincing as a boxer, Wahlberg plays welterweight Micky Ward, who grew up in working-class Massachusetts. Like the actor-producer, he had eight siblings, one more famous than the rest. Ward’s half-brother, Dicky Eklund (a gaunt, crazy-eyed Christian Bale), turned to boxin…
