Is it true about kitty litter?
I’ve heard it’s dangerous for a pregnant woman to handle kitty litter, but what are the actual facts? I know it’s b/c cats’ dropping can contain toxoplasmosis, but is that true of indoor cats?
I’m not pregant yet, but when the time comes, I know my husband won’t clean the cat box often enough. What if I wear latex gloves and wear a face mask?
If anyone has had similar problem, I would love to hear back, because this is really worrying me. Thanks!
When i was pregnant i had the same dilemma. I opted for the gloves and mask thing. Also make sure that you wash your hands well after. After a while my hubby took over. Toxoplasmosis can happen to indoor cats. If you want to you can have your cat tested for it to make sure he dont have the bacteria.
