american kickboxing vs muay thai
Against American Kickboxing Muay Thai (including TKD, Karate Kontact, and other traditionalists)?

I watch movies on Youtube, Myspace, and any another site dedicated to "TKD vs Muay Thai!" and "karate kick kickboxing!" etc., when someone makes a return flight moonkick triple twist crescent to a heel hook Thai fighters false face and falls like a bad Kung Fu movie. Seriously, step up to the plate and show a Thai rules match in its entirety with two competitors with comparable records in their art form, where the TKD, karate, etc wrestler wins or using their knowledge of traditional forms and fighting. Then I will smile and say "Wow, TKD really can hold its own when the chips are down" or "Kajukenbo is a good art." What really I want to know is why so many defenders of American kickboxing, Karate kontact (as kajukenbo) or forms of sport (such as Tae Kwon Do) try so hard to show up Thailand trained fighters? Why do not these great fighters ever to fight in matches the rules in Thailand? Why continue to perpetuate the idea that Muay Thai is a traditional art?

Really? Because I've seen the exact opposite of Muay Thai TKD practitioners beating-which, incidentally, clearly I had no idea what they were doing. I even saw a video promoting Muay Thai superiority in which an experienced doctor with a floor of a red belt TKD no was very good to begin with and stubbornly continued to play by the rules of sparring. How is that bias? Anyway, I did not pay much attention to YouTube as Bluto, he said, martial arts films are more in line promotional film designed to make a style look like the end of all martial arts. Is often used to bite her a "true" style against another style and, surprise – has been his style. Now, if you were to pair a Muay Thai fighter with an equally experienced and qualified sport TKD practictioner in a fight in which "the die is cast", I'd put my money in the Muay Thai fighter-just because the rules of this type of war is more akin to the rules of Muay Thai. However, place in a sporting context, and I'd probably opt for the type of TKD, and that the Muay Thai fighter is limited by the sporting rules. The point is, train people for specific purposes. And within that context, it is probably better practictioners do against others who have trained for different purposes (eg, sport, Muay Thai TKD probably beat in a sports match). And There is nothing wrong with that. The problem comes when people try to promote his style as a solution to all situations. Practictioners of all styles are guilty of this, not just Tae Kwon Do. And I do not mean the "traditional arts" theme, either … which is a debatable term usually used in arguments insults on which style is superior. In the end, it really has no bearing on its final formation. I say just ignore people who try so hard to download Muay Thai. There is nothing in the martial arts is COMPLETELY safeguard against the arrogance and ignorance. Yes, martial arts should discourage those qualities, but you always find a few bad apples in the bunch … so learn to ignore.
